Uses :
Mainly used for parquet flooring, however, also used as construction wood and for stairways. Even in South America, it is used only seldom for furniture by the veneer industry and thus is only of minor importance for veneers.

Properties :
The heartwood is reddish brown with dark stripes, the structure often is irregular and twisted, however, much less distinctive than in Rosewood.
